Mustang Builds the Largest Single Wastewater Recycling Facility in the Permian

This massive wastewater recycling facility is the largest single facility ever built on one site in the Permian. When it’s finished, it will include seven ponds, each holding 500,000 usable BBLs of recycled water storage, plus a large treatment pad.

Our custom aeration system and our proprietary remote leak detection monitoring system will go into all seven ponds.

Mustang Crews Take On Snow and Extreme Cold in Wyoming

Teamwork, professionalism, perseverance and an amazing work ethic.

These photos from recent installations in the northeast corner of Wyoming tell the story. Heavy snow, high winds and temperatures dropping below -28° made it a real challenge to hit the deadlines on several projects in Wright and Gillette, Wyoming.

The work included 10 fresh water frac ponds that took 2.7 million sq ft of liner. To finish on a break-neck schedule in the dead of winter, Mustang Containment Solutions crews were pulled in from several locations.

We can’t say enough about our people. They are truly the best in the business.

Custom Aeration Water Treatment System Finished on Dual 500,000 BBL Ponds in Midland

The Mustang Extreme Water Treatment Team recently put the finishing touches on two 500,000 bbl produced water ponds in the Permian Basin.

As soon as the Midland-based Mustang liner crew and QAQC team finished the liner, the water treatment team got to work on a subsurface aeration and chemical injection system and the M.E.G.A Remote Monitoring System. The operator will have 24/7, real-time data on the quality and volume of the water stored in the ponds.

Our approach to water treatment is science-based and built around the specific needs of each operation. Careful testing, site evaluation and a clear understanding of what the operation requires are the foundation for every customized system we install.

Geosynthetic Liner and Manifold System Installed in the Eagle Ford Basin

Mustang Containment Solutions lined a 1.5mm barrel pond and set up a manifold system to feed water to new leases in the Eagle Ford Basin. Supporting the manifold system’s inlet and outlet lines cut down the contact between the liner and the hoses, which lowered the risk of liner damage. Mustang Extreme also tailored the number of valves and lines used to match the production needs of this operation.
